Umpire Jamie Keep passes away: Jamie Keep died on Wednesday 17th January at his home in Spain where he had moved with his wife a few years ago.
He was one of the East's very successful and most popular umpires in the late 70's, getting very close to an international call up. He will be missed by many umpires who worked with him over many years, as well as those whom he selected and coached in later years. There will also be many players both nationally and in the East, who will remember him as one of the fairest and most respected umpires they experienced. Funeral details will be posted when they are known.
