EH Governance survey:
EH is seeking responses from across hockey via on-line surveys to better understand current governance structures. We want your views about the way in which hockey is currently run and managed at regional, county and league level and whether this meets the needs of clubs and players. We want to know if you feel that it currently works well or if improvements could be made and, if so, we want your thoughts and ideas on practical solutions. An England Hockey governance review working group has been established to address the AGM resolution. The findings from the survey will be used by this group to help identify opportunities and develop best practice in governance for the benefit of our sport.Yew Consulting, an independent sports consultancy, have been commissioned to develop the survey questions and are collecting and analysing the data on our behalf. All feedback will be handled in accordance with the Market Research Society Code of Conduct and in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998. There are two versions of the survey: For Administrators/Committee Members of Regional, County, League and Umpiring Associations go $$https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/AGMResolutionGovBod%% For Club Administrators/Committee Members and club members go $$https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/AGMResolutionClubs%% If you ‘wear more than one hat’ please feel free to complete the survey as many times as required. The route name is "Bedford HC route whilst Ford End Rd bridge one way", with the following message … If you normally travel to Bedford Hockey Club travelling over the Ford End Road railway bridge into Queens Park, this bridge will be one way from 16th October to the 30th November. You will only be able to use the bridge when you leave the hockey club. Handbook survey results:
Clubs were asked if a downloadable pdf file could be a replacement for hard copies of the handbook. Of the 83 clubs that replied, preferences were: 64 pdf file only, 8 pdf plus a few hard copies, and 11 hard copies only. The Handbook Editor will therefore provide both versions, and clubs that so requested will continue to receive hard copies, whilst the pdf will be downloadable from this website for local reference, partial printing, or embedding in a club website. It would be appreciated if the 70 or so clubs that have not so far indicated a preference would do so by emailing the webmaster now to say if they would be happy with a pdf instead of hard copies. For clarity, the Club Section of the handbook and the circulation list are output from the website Clubsearch database and supplied by the webmaster to the Handbook Editor for inclusion in the new edition.
